Do the Laundry, Cinderella!

We put Audrey Kate to work this weekend. It is time she earned her keep and started to help with the chores. She's pretty good at it, don't you think?

New Milestones!

Audrey Kate has reached new milestones again! She is growing so fast and suprises us everyday with the new things that she can do. She never fails to bring a smile to our faces. Here she is holding her bottle all by herself for the first time - what a big girl!

Audrey Kate says "Look Mom - no hands!" She is now standing all by herself. It is the funniest thing. She lets go - has a shocked look on her face and then laughs at herself -- she gets so tickled that she can stand without holding on!!She has also bonded....not with a stuffed animal or a blankie - but with her paci - She wakes up at night several times just looking for her paci. Then, if she can't find it, she cries until I come in and put it back in her mouth. After several nights of this, I decided to put a bunch of pacifiers in her bed and that way it would be easier for her to find them. I am happy to say that it worked. She has been sleeping beautifully again and not needing my help at all. Well, this is how we found her after her nap yesterday - enjoying the plethora of pacifiers in her crib. So funny!

First Mother's Day!

Last year at this time I was looking forward to meeting my little one - and now she is here -- and already 9 months old. Being a mom, I feel that I now have more of a taste of the love that God has for us. I am overwhelmed with this all encompassing love everyday with every smile and every laugh and every once in a lifetime moment that I share with Audrey Kate. God calls us His children. Oh what a love that must be (since it is even more than what I feel for Audrey Kate). She is such a blessing in my life, and I am so thankful that God entrusted her to me. I know that there will be many joys and trials to come our way, but with Wesley by my side and God's continual love and direction - we will persevere. I pray everyday for her salvation and that she would glorify God with her life. This would make me the proudest mama in the world!!!

Nana D came to visit us for Mother's Day and it was so good to have her here. She is a wonderful godly woman and I am thankful for her friendship and support in my life. She brought Audrey Kate some cute outfits - you can see one in the pictures with the cute little hat.

A few weeks ago - Audrey Kate took her first Carousel ride on a mini carousel at the mall -- this picture is priceless! Needless to say SHE LOVED IT!!

Big Girl Chair

Audrey Kate discovered her big girl chair in her room today. She crawled over to it, climbed into it and then proceeded to rock and play in it for over an hour. I was reminded of the first time I propped her up in it when she was 1 month old. Look at the difference - when did she get so big??
